richard-bartle1.jpg

Richard, 'the real world's only virtual world design consultant' joins us from University of Essex where he teaches computer game design as a visiting professor to discuss his experience of what to do and what not to do when developing narratives and storytelling for online games.

In 1978 Richard co-wrote the first virtual world, MUD, and in 2003 wrote Designing Virtual Worlds, the first book written about virtual worlds.
